For creating, editing and backing up your credentials. The stick works without it – you do not need a PC to retrieve passwords.
The installers are not signed. Windows will therefore show a warning you have to confirm.

Firmware for the stick 0.1.4.1
Installed through the app: open the settings, choose “Flash firmware” and select this file. The stick must be unlocked and in APP mode.
Make a backup first. A firmware change can alter the data format, and stored credentials may then no longer be readable.

This is not protection against tampering: anyone able to replace the files on this server could replace this list too. Real proof would require signed files.
